I love running. I love it so much that I want everyone to enjoy it! That’s why I became an RRCA-certified running coach this summer. It’s also why I started working with New York Road Runners as a coach in their Group Training classes. I coach in Prospect Park on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, leading runners in intervals and tempo/fartlek/progression runs and strength training. It’s awesome watching runners get faster and stronger through training. So many runners hit massive PRs in their fall races.
The group I coach is both friendly and competitive. For example, we started their last eight-week session with a goal to do a two-minute plank. We performed a 70-second plank at the end of the first session, and planned to increase by five to ten second each class. By week five, everyone in the group had completed a two-minute plank. The runners didn’t stop there, though. They kept increasing their plank time, and after the final session everyone completed a 2:30 minute plank. Amazing!
Individual Coaching
Not everyone likes group classes. If you want a more personalized touch, I’m accepting new runners for individual coaching. Whether you just need someone to write you a training plan, or you want someone to help you get that next PR, I’d love to help! If you’re interested in what I have to offer, shoot me an e-mail below!
